WMPCS: Eco-lodge and class room needs

Hey parents,

Friday's field trip will be to the little known ECO Lodge in Blounts Creek. This environmental education center on the south side of the Pamlico River near Blounts Creek is provided by the Boy Scouts for Scouts, school, community groups and the citizens of eastern North Carolina. The ECO Lodge was made possible by a generous grant from PotashCorp of Aurora. You can learn more about the facility by linking here: http://www.ecolodgenc.com/

I haven’t been but I’ve heard some pretty amazing stories about the facility. Honestly, I'm kind of jealous. Seth, my dear sweet husband, will accompany Sophia on tomorrow's excursion. He gets all the good field trips.

In other news the classroom is in need of the following items:
- Large bottle of Hand Sanitizer
- Liquid dish detergent

In order to avoid making dinner, we'll be at the middle school's Pancake Supper tonight. Slapcakes will be served from 4-7pm at First Church of Christ, off 10th Street in Little W. $5 will get you through the door.

Hope to see you there,
Bianca

Kid Fest

KidsFest is an annual celebration of global diversity, showcasing the talents of all WMPCS students. This year's KidsFest is scheduled for Friday, April 20, 2012 from 5-8 pm. This event will include food and fellowship, class exhibits and booths, a parade of flags from around the world, class performances and a spectacular finale. The details about the meal will come your way soon. Parents are reminded to bring chairs or blankets to sit on during the performances.
